	BA21 is a consolidated plan of action developed by the business sector under the UNDP-assisted Private Sector Participation in Managing the Environment (PRIME) Project.
	It is consistent with and supportive of national efforts to promote sustainable development, as embodied in the Philippine Agenda 21 the country’s strategic plan to meet its commitment to the international agreement called the Global Agenda 21. 85 industry associations have formulated their own environmental programs and strategies.

		The BA21 Addendum publication describes actual changes / activities already taken by some of the BA21 industry associations. It reflects the efforts of industry to assess its environmental impacts, find better ways of doing business and contribute to national adoption of sustainable development.
